Abubakar Jimoh was born on the 14th October, 1986. He hailed from Ilorin East Local Government of Kwara state. Attended Al-Huda Nursery and Primary School, Ilorin from where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1996; Government Day Secondary School, Alore Ilorin for his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination between 1997 and 2003 . He enrolled into University of Abuja in 2003 and holds a National Diploma Certificate in Accounting in 2005 with Credit Merit. He bagged a degree in Bachelor of Arts (B.A Hons) from the same University and graduated with Second Class Upper Division in Linguistics in the year 2010. He became an Associate of Accounting Technicians for the West Africa (AAT) and member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) also in the year 2009.
He has written several articles/features to address economic, social, political, educational, linguistic, financial, disaster risks management, extractive transparency, environmental, legislative, maternal health, child and family health issues published on national dailies, international journals/magazines and online media.
He was a recipient of Professor Omen Maduka-Durunze’s Class Best Performance Prizes in 2008, the Most Outstanding Alumni Award of Linguistics Department, University of Abuja in 2010; the Best Reporter Award of the 2011 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS) of NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa Abuja; and 2012 National Orientation Agency(NOA)’s Award Prize of the National Youths Essay Competition, and at the same time confirmed National Youth Ambassador by NOA; the recipient of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Master Degree Scholarship as a distinguished NYSC member for disaster prevention and public safety advocacy in 2012; the recipient of independent Corruption Practice Commission (ICPC) Outstanding Performance of ICPC-NYSC Advocacy against Corruption in Nigeria in 2012.
He presently works as the Head of Communication and Information at Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), Abuja.
